Despite the vast majority of my time that is currently spent behind a desk, I still make time to be physically active. During the colder months this means hitting the gym for some good old fashioned weight lifting. When things warm up, I'm off to the sand courts for some competetive beach volleyball. In younger years I competed in Junior Olympic Volleyball, and in high school competed in Volleyball, Indoor Track, and Football.

When I lift weights, I prefer lifts that involve major muscle groups such as bench press and squats. I also prefer dumbells to get an evenly balanced load as well as work the supporting secondary muscles. I also prefer to use less weight and get out quality reps to cheating on more weight.

On the volleyball court, I swing right handed, but play either left side or right side. Without competing during the indoor season, it usually takes well into the summer before my sets, passes, and serves are dead on. Also my vertical is currently in a very sorry state after years of neglect.
