Geek

For having built the last three computers that I owned; for having mucked with the jumpers to overclock my old pentium 166; for having run servers at Yoda's Barn LAN parties; for having been a member of a Quake Clan; for having in my posession Akira, Ninja Scroll, and Heavy Metal; for having finished watching Evangelion:Neon Genesis even after it started sucking; for having in my posession a small collection of MTG cards, a DM's guide, a Player's Handbook, a Monstrous Manual, and a collage of the six basic D&D box covers; for having trolled through newsgroups reading flame wars that I have no intention of joining; for having posted on Slashdot; for having pimped my models on Polycount; for having stayed up until dawn countless times just because I got distracted on the computer; for having cried "VICTORY!" at solving mathematical proofs; for having created a self-referential web site that also mentions "Godel, Escher, Bach"; for having a shelf full of books by authors such as Knuth and Foley and van Dam just in case I need them; for having done all these things and more, I cannot but include myself amongst the ranks of the geek.
